She provides bespoke guided walks, coach tours and transfer/meet-&-greet services for local, domestic and overseas visitors - particularly French speakers - in the leisure market and for conferences, sports events, incentive programmes, press visits and educational tours.
Pauline’s special interests are Manchester past and present, the Industrial Revolution, industrial heritage, history of health and healthcare in Manchester, faith tourism including Catholic Manchester, “saints and sinners” of Manchester, great women of Manchester, sport, transport, Manchester's Irish, Jewish and Italian communities, French Manchester and other international links, Manchester's royal connections, historic buildings, architecture and urban regeneration.
A linguist by training, Pauline is Institute qualified to guide in French and is working hard to pass the Italian exam in the next couple of years. Her Russian and German are more long-term projects!
Pauline is a Board Director and Company Secretary of the Institute of Tourist Guiding and an active member of Manchester Guided Tours.
After almost 30 years in overseas tour operating, she is delighted to now be focusing on her native city. She is passionate about Manchester and keen to show you why!
